More About "Us" . This is our generations of the "Wildhaven Crew" throughout the years. In 2000, the first bottom left picture, from left to right is, "Diamond" (Wildhaven's Diamond in the Ruff - 1988-2001), "Tiger" (Wildhaven's Tigers' Eye, CD 1994-2004), "DiDi" (Lady Diamond of Wildhaven, CD, CGC 1994-2006), and "Amber" (A/C Ch. Wildhaven's Precious Amber, CGC)
"Diamond" was our first Rottweiler and the one that started our love for the breed. "Diamond" was diagnosed as severely hip displastic at the age of 6 months, and we decided to give her a hip replacement which extended her life to 12 1/2 years of healthy living. Because of our beloved "Diamond" we did a lot of research on the causes for hip displasia and it has guided our decision to breed as strong of a hip line as possible in our dogs. It is to her and dogs like her that we dedicate ourselves to breeding only sound dogs of mind and body.
"DiDi" was out of our 2nd Wildhaven litter produced and a littermate to both "Tiger" and "Emma" (not pictured, Amber's mother). "DiDi" was originally sold to a wonderful home but came back to us at 18 months when they had to move out of state and felt it wasn't fair to put her in an apartment since she had been raised in the country. We were only going to keep her until they found a house but we fell in love with her and asked to keep her. She produced some very nice puppies, is mother to our "Maxi" (Ch. Wildhaven's Dark Angel v Joey, CD, SG-1 & Multi-YS, Multi-BOS over specials / Maxi's page), and grandmother to our next generation of puppies. "DiDi" and I competed for her CD with scores of 190-192.
"Tiger" was my soul mate, the perfect companion and the best of the Rottweiler breeds temperament and loyalty. He was my computer dog and from 4 months old and on, he would sit under my computer chair and table while I worked. He was OFA Excellent but sadly had a grade 1 on his elbows so I felt it was best not to put him into my breeding program, so he was neutered. He is uncle and great uncle to my next generations and I still see his great temperament and intelligence in Wildhaven puppies.
"Amber" is retired and a grandmother to our 4th generation of Wildhaven puppies. She has come out of retirement and is enjoying hitting the show ring as a veteran! We hope to get her out more this summer! She still loves to show and has been getting some nice speciality placements! (Amber's page)
In 2007, our "Wildhaven Crew" has grown and changed some over the years. We still enjoy the great company of our "Amber", "Maxi", "Flame", "Cagan" and "Breja". "Flame" (V-3 Wildhaven's Flame of the Dragon, akc ptd., specialty placements) is out of our "Amber" and "Dragon" litter in 2001. She has been proven to be a wonderful producer over the years (Flame's page). Both "Cagan" (V-2 Wildhaven's Czechmate v Bowen, Best Male Puppy, BOS Sweepstakes, akc ptd.) and "Breja" (Wildhaven's Belle Partie v Bowen, akc ptd., Best Puppy, VP-2) are out of our "Maxi" x "Bowen" litter in 2003. "KC" and "Nevada" are the newest additions and they're very close in age. "KC" came all the way from the UK to share our home with us. "Nevada" is a gorgeous female out of our "Flame" x "Vegas" litter that we had in 2007.
