When we first started this tribute, there were so many reaching out to us... and sadly, the memorials kept pouring in. Our hearts ached for each and every one!!! While going through them, we noticed that the dogs passed away, at all ages.  Coming to the conclusion that disease has no boundaries or implications when inflicting its victims.

Our beloved "Gabby" was put to rest on 2/2/02

We decided after almost 11/2 months of fighting to provide her with the most loving human gift; for her to go with dignity and not suffer anymore. The morning of 2/2/02, we knew that she wanted us to help her. She had such sad eyes and they were telling us that she did not feel good and wanted to go to the Rainbow Bridge.

For those of you who dont know her story - 6 year old female diagnosed with lymphoma 12/5/01 Treatment: Prednisone and lots of love. Making the decision to do the right thing was both painful and now in retrospect the most wonderful thing because she is now cancer free and with her buddies. Holding her little face and kissing her good-bye was so sad and it still makes me cry. With death of our "Gabby", there is new life. Last Sunday we adopted a 1.5 year old female Rotti/shepard mix who is such a love. While she will never take the place of "Gabby" she provides our family with love and devotion and fills the void. This is a terrible disease and for those of you out there that are fighting it too, love your Rotti and when the time comes, and you will know, do the loving thing as painful emotionally as it is its the best gift that you can give your faitful compainion.

God bless our furry friends,
Tracey
