What To Do First

We strongly suggest, at this very moment, that you always consult your veterinarian first, before making any decisions based on the health of your dog!!! Please understand that any actions that you choose to do on your own free will, with your own dog, or any problems that may arise, due to any advice given, “ARHC” and the members within all of our groups and projects, will not ever be held accountable.

If at any time, you’re in doubt, about your companion, please go immediately to your veterinarian and/or emergency clinic. DON’T WAIT!!! We care way too much for the welfare of your dog and we don’t want to add another one to our memorial pages!

What We Are Not

First and foremost, “ARHC” makes no claim to be any: Veterinarian, company, foundation, or any type of legally registered/certified medical organization dealing with canine health. We're merely dedicated individuals that care deeply about the future of our breed. The opinions and information expressed within this website, including, within all of our groups and projects, are merely that, and nothing more. We’re not responsible for or included in any outside parties.

Who We Are

The original founder of these groups and projects is from
Von Stallog Rottweilers. “Ginger”, our first rescue, was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer), in the fall of 2000. At the time, there really wasn't a great deal of information about the disease or help within our breed, on the net. So, “Ginger” gave us the inspiration and she is the whole reason why “ARHC” exists today!

Furthermore, one of the main monitors of our group’s projects is Ms. Lew Olson, from the
Blackwood kennel, a well-respected Rottweiler breeder-judge. She dedicates and volunteers multiple hours, of her own time, to help others in need. Lew has a PhD in Nutrition, has her own health seminars and lists, speaks on the importance of the BARF diet, participates in BSL with the ARC, volunteers to rescue in untimely disasters (most notably Katrina and Rita hurricanes), and sales her own B-Naturals canine health products.

The other two group monitors, Tom and Shannon VanSach, from the
VanSach kennel, have been involved with the groups, when they started to grow in numbers. They are also successful code-of-ethic breeders and ongoing exhibitors in the fancy.

Since all of us have owned Rottweilers, for several years, we've all had our own experiences dealing with health concerns in our breed, especially with cancer.

Finally, we've been thankful for all the wonderful support, from every member, of all the groups’ projects, who have comforted and helped those who are going through their horrible ordeals. If it weren’t for those members, “ARHC” wouldn’t exist! From what we've witnessed, we have some of the best-dedicated and passionate people around these days, as breeders and owners of the fancy.

What We Are Mostly About

Our group projects exist and thrive, with the help of many experienced long-time breeders, handlers, judges, nutritionist, rescue/shelter volunteers, and fanciers of the Rottweiler breed, because they all come together at one place. With our own experiences within the breed, we give advice and information on most common canine health matters.

For instance, in our
Rottweiler Health group, we've had several members receive help, dealing with different types of issues, such as: Breeding, diet, orthopedic, skin, torn ACL’s, arthritis, rescue, eyes, hearts, kidneys, thyroids, and breathing problems. Just too name a few! Also, there is more detailed information available, within our cancer groups, specifically for that type of health concern.

So, if you came here to seek information, and to hopefully gain some valuable knowledge, we hope you can find the answers you’re looking for in our group projects and “Info” pages. There are many great resources available about Rottweilers today and the health concerns they struggle with on a daily basis.

Thank you for stopping by and supporting us. Give your Rottie, a hug, from all of us!
